The New Winter Focus is Out!

The winter edition of Focus magazine is available for online viewing at

http://wgi.org/multimedia/focus.php# There are some wonderful articles in this issue that everyone should see. Also, they have announced that WGI will have live streaming finals performances from four Power Regionals, as well as other select regionals. How cool is that? Go and have a look at this great source of information from WGI.

My Favorite Performer of All Time

Seishi Inagaki, of Aimachi, is my favorite winterguard/baton performer of all time. He has recently been cast in a new Cirque du Soleil show which begins on October 1st at the Tokoyo Disney Resort.

I cannot imagine a better combination.

Trudging Right Along

Another great weekend of rehearsal. Our show is now complete! The group worked extremely hard to get everything on the floor, and perfect some areas which needed attention. We are so excited for our next show...only three weeks away!

Pictures!

I worked on the website last night, and tried to get some of my pics up from our Lawrence County weekend. Thank you to Coop's Mom for some amazing action shots, and I got this pic from stalking Maddie's Myspace. I was trying to figure out how to embed our montage video into our website, but failed miserably last night. I will try again after doing some research. It is really nice and worth the effort!!

By the way, we had 81 different people stop by our site yesterday, and that is alot for one day. I love lurkers.

Just Dance!

Ever had the feeling that you were just not (fill in your adjective here) enough? Wish you were more attractive, talented, skinny, intelligent, etc? If you have ever felt less than perfect, you should watch American Idol. It will give you a huge dose of self esteem. Dang, where do they find these people? Be happy and content with who you are. There is always someone who is worse off than you are...and they are all auditioning for Simon Cowell.

Finally! Quality bad performances! Dance Wars with Carrie Ann and Bruno was quite a disappointment. They sent home the kid from Bartlett. BOO!

Seven Days

One week. We had our last full rehearsal weekend before Field Day and it was FABULOUS! Everyone is ready and excited about the coming weekend. The guard worked extremely hard and should sleep very soundly tonight. We had visitors from Bartlett drop by to see us. It is always nice to have an audience.

Looking forward to football and rest tomorrow. I hope the week goes by fast. So excited.

How Depressing :(

I love fantasy movies, so when I saw that the Bridge to Terebithia was on, I was excited to watch it. I had seen previews but never got the chance to see it.

I was ready to see a fun fantasy, with mystical creatures, only to find a terribly sad movie, that made me cry my eyes out. I am so depressed. AND...just before that, I watched We Are Marshall. Can I pick 'em, or what?

Oh poor Violet Beauregard! Say it isn't so!

13 Days and Counting!

Great rehearsals this weekend. The show is wonderful with a tear factor of 10. If I cry, I know it is going in the right direction. I must have a tear duct disorder, but if I do, I hope it is never cured. Nothing gives me greater joy, than to see a group of young people doing something incredible. This group of performers is so talented and work so hard. It is inspiring to this old gal to watch them grow stronger every week. Field Day is only 13 days away and I could not be any more excited. Finally, they will reap some praise for all of their commitment and hard work.
